General Comments
I have been a practicing attorney since 1979. My practice is limited to family law. I am personally and professionally committed to providing the highest quality legal representation, cost-effectively and with close attention to each client’s unique needs. I represent clients in matters involving both traditional and non-traditional families, including disputes arising under the Domestic Partnership Act. I am trained as mediator and collaborative lawyer and maintain an active alternative dispute resolution practice in addition to my litigation practice. I am an expert and mentor for the San Francisco Bar Association Volunteer Legal Services Program, a mediator with the Court of Appeal, First Appellate District Appellate Mediation Program, and serve as a Temporary Judge for the San Francisco Unified Family Court. I graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1979, and earned my B.A. from Bard College in 1973. I am committed to negotiations that aim to serve the interests of both parties; will look for ways to create value rather than simply to distribute it; and, though experienced in litigation, will always search for reasonable out-of-court solutions.
