General Comments
A member of both the San Francisco and Marin County Collaborative Practice groups, Debra brings a full set of perspectives and skills to her work as a Collaborative Practice coach and child specialist. She has an active practice as a marriage, family therapist, with prior professional experience as a California family law attorney, and personal experience of divorce, remarriage, and blending of a new family.
Using a family systems approach, grounded in attachment and child development theory, Debra specializes in helping children and parents transition through the dissolution of their current or former family through the creation of their new or blended family. In addition to her role as a Collaborative Practice coach and child specialist, Debra provides services as a mediator of parenting issues, a parenting coach, an individual adult/child therapist, a co-parenting counselor or a divorce coach in mediation.
Passionate about working with families in the Collaborative Practice model, she is a member of two Public Education Committees, is a member of the CP-CAL Mental Health Task Force, and is a trainer in advanced collaborative law issues.
