Katherine Shlaudeman (Attorney)

General Comments

Katherine Shlaudeman has been practicing law since 1997. She practices exclusively family law and handles a broad range of family law matters, including dissolutions of marriage and domestic partnerships, the division and valuation of marital property, child and spousal support, child custody, and premarital and postmarital agreements. She is a trained mediator and Collaborative Practice attorney and practices both litigation and consensual dispute resolution. Katherine is a volunteer mediator for the San Francisco Superior Court and other organizations and an active member of Collaborative Practice San Francisco and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She was a guest on a segment of Chuck Finney’s “Your Legal Rights” radio show devoted to Collaborative Practice in family law. Katherine is committed to finding solutions for her clients that help them stay out of court and direct their own outcomes.

Katherine graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors from Stanford University and went on to earn her J.D. from the University of California’s Boalt Hall School of Law, where she received American Jurisprudence and other awards. She is currently pursuing an LLM in tax law at Golden Gate University Law School. Katherine is Vice Chair of the San Francisco Standing Committee for the Family Law Section of the State Bar and has been a presenter for the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco on family law mediation and premarital agreements.
